THE MOXIE PROJECT
I’m creating it for you, for me, for all of us.
Imagine that on the street where you live is a place that is open 24/7, welcoming you at any time.
On offer for you is a range of transformational & fun, courses, workshops, and experiences to help you wake up and reconnect with you really are, to lead a happier, confident, creative, and flourishing life. From the inside out.
A place where you take the lead in creating your own story. Where you receive support in doing work that is rich, rewarding, meaningful and serve the greater good. A place where you are constantly overcoming hurdle and barriers that are holding you back from being you. A coach, experienced personal development trainer and careers guidance worker at your fingertips. A place where the light shines bright and the challenges are illuminated.
A close community, but not exclusive. A place where the work we do together is about waking up, stepping up and unfolding what already is. A place to put down new roots and grow them. A place where you can come and work, come and play, come and create, come and hangout. Taking what you need, offering what you can.
That’s what I’m creating.
It all started with a 4 week course that helped people – just like you – reclaim their courage, reconnect with their confidence and undo the barriers and hurdles to becoming who they really were.
It was a lovely little course, and a lot of very good things happened as a result for the people who came.
However something didn’t feel right to me. And, if you’ve been around me for a while you’ll know I say, ‘Go with the feelings, they are the most accurate guide you’ve got’.
As Living Moxie grows and grows each month, and from the 100’s of emails I receive each week to the people who answer my question,‘What are you struggling with right now?’ – so many people pour their heart out. As if being asked that question opens in them a story they have been desperate to tell.
In their words they are wanting is to find themselves again, to get off the self-help hamster wheel, they want to stop pussy-footing around. To connect. share, belong, return home to who they truly are. They are done with fear dictating how their life should go. They want to make a difference, find their inner courage and connect with our core.
What I had created was an ‘online personal development course’, I had made something that ticked all the ‘how to deliver an online workshop’, but in the creation I disconnected from what I know makes rich, rewarding, fun, experiential learning experiences.
So, I battled in my head for about a year about what was needed: was it a workshop, an online course, a journey from A – B. Or could I forget everything I knew about ‘creating online workshops’, ditch the rules and create something else entirely?
The result of the head battling:
I have a vision:
I see a space, a community and a place of learning (or unlearning), togetherness, belonging, fun, growth and unfolding.
I see the online the equivalent of a building on the street where you live, a place that is open 24/7 for when you are able to come in. In this building will be many offerings: workshops, short courses, guest speakers, meet-ups, gatherings, places to connect, share and try new things – all year round, for you.
I see a space that that is always welcoming, welcoming you where you are at, a place where you don’t have to pretend. A fun place. A place of transformation and change but at the same time not to follow a set script of how that should be created.
I see other people coming in to deliver their workshops and talks.
I see a space that is accessible and inclusive to all, including financial inclusion.
To bring everything I create, make, deliver, offer to groups under one roof.
I want to meet you face to face when I can in live workshops and events. I want you to feel welcomed, safe, and a place where you know you are heard, seen and valued, without any labels.
I see the focus as courage, confidence, connection, creativity: for life, work and business.
